外教考试区别于传统的中国考试方式
区别于传统的中国考试方式，外教老师们的口语考试往往更加的令人放松。没有古板的监考老师，没有黑白分明的试卷，更没有所谓的交卷铃声，外教的口语考试轻松地甚至让人找不到一点考试的影子。

通常，考前一两周，外教老师会通知大家考试地点，往往会选择在外教的公寓内进行。学校通常会为每个外教准备单独地公寓，不同于中国的单身宿舍，这些公寓都是独立的整体，有独立的客厅，卧室，阳台，卫生间等。而且会根据外国人的生活习惯做简单的装修，并铺有地毯，非常的温馨舒适。而考试一般会选择在客厅内进行。外教会提前为每位同学排好顺序，比如说第一位考试的同学是Lisa，第二位考试的同学是Jane，Lisa的考试时间为早上八点半，答题时间预计为15分钟，那么Jane就要提前至少十分钟在门外等候，也就是说Jane需要在八点三十五左右到达考试地点。以此类推，每个同学都有自己到达考试地点的时间。迟到往往是不允许的，因为外教非常注重守时。

考试内容通常为座谈类，即外教选择几个Topic(话题)，随机抽取给考试的同学，同学根据这个话题做一段陈述，外教老师随之针对同学的陈述提出问题，同学进行回答，考试以谈话方式进行。期间外教对同学的回答做出备注，以此作为评分标准。虽然考试作答时间一般有规定的时间，但有的同学发挥的很好，谈话或许会持续很长时间，考试时间会是原先预计的几倍。所以这项考试往往是很灵活的，并不一定每天要完成多少同学的考试，对于原先在等候名单上的同学由于之前考试的同学占用的时间过长，而导致时间不够而无法参加外教的口语考试的，考试时间向后顺延。
