中国外教一般存在什么问题

  优秀的外教对英语学习有促进作用,很容易吸引学生的注意力,能够增强学生学习口语的兴趣。

  1.水平参差不齐

  会讲英语跟会教英语是两回事。正如不是所有中国人都能教汉语一样,并不是所有外国人都有资格教英语,能教好英语。现实情况是,目前在中国的外教水平参差不齐,虽然也有优秀的外教,但人数太少。不少学校和培训机构都有“外来的和尚好念经”的想法,在招聘时没有严格审核资质,只要是个外国面孔就行(有些外教的母语甚至都不是英语)。很多招来的外教没有受过正规的师范教育或者相关的教学培训,缺乏从事语言教育的基本知识。还有一些外教来中国并不是为了教书,仅仅是为了旅游赚点路费,对教学并不上心。这样的教师对学生英语能力提升的帮助并不大。

There are also some foreign teachers who come to China not to teach, just to earn some travel expenses, and they are not interested in teaching. Such a teacher is not helpful to the improvement of students' English ability.

  英语教学是一个有相当门槛的工作,外教仅仅会讲英语还不够,最好还要有至少一门外语的学习经历,这样才能深刻感知两种语言系统的差别,知道学生在语言学习过程中的难点在哪里。但能够坚持学习一门外语(不管是不是中文)的外教并不多,大部分人只会英语一门语言。这导致他们很难了解中国学生遇到的困难,实际教学效果并不如中国老师。

  English teaching is a job with a certain threshold. It is not enough for a foreign teacher to speak English only. It is better to have at least one foreign language learning experience. Only in this way can we deeply perceive the differences between the two language systems and know where the students' difficulties lie in the process of language learning. However, there are not many foreign teachers who can persist in learning a foreign language (whether it is Chinese or not), and most people only know English. This makes it difficult for them to understand the difficulties encountered by Chinese students, and the actual teaching effect is not as good as that of Chinese teachers.
