　　请外教教英语主要为了练口语，这是大多数人请外教的初衷，在很多人的记忆里，英语至少也都学了十年以上，很多人早自习晚自习几乎都是在读英语背单词。但是多年英语学过来，英语口语依然是个噩梦，出国旅游说不了，遇见外国朋友打个招呼之后就聊不下去，工作中更加没胆没能力去交流。让外教来教口语，模仿地道发音、地道的表达方式，了解西方的文化，一两年就可以自信地全英文对话了。

　　这些年，出国留学移民的人越来越多。去国外看多了才发现，外国人阅读量很大，出国留学阅读也很重要，雅思托福sat什么的阅读难度比中高考难好多。加上现在去国际学校上学的也很多，国际学校对英语阅读的要求和国外差不多了。于是，大家才发现外教也教阅读啊，因为英文读物都是外国人写的，相同的西方文化，老外更懂老外，讲起阅读来可以不仅仅是讲生词讲句型对答案那么简单。

　　国内基本对英文写作不是很重视，写作评分要求也不高。但是很多人出国留学要雅思托福考试，这里面写作要求就没那么简单了。还有就是出国留学之后，平时的作业、报告、演讲稿、论文什么的，更是拿得出去的水平才行。作为就是在那样的环境中读书过来的外教，自身的写作水平不消说。不要相信那些什么雅思写作模板什么的，那绝对都是中国人写的，拿不到很高的分数。外教教写作主要帮学生提升写作实力，而不是弄模板。而且写作水平直接反映了一个人口语、词汇、阅读的综合实力。综合提高英语才是王道。
